Jackson beats Northwest, 38-20

Jackson Northwest took the opening drive 67 yards in 14 plays for a touchdown.

But after that, the ball game belonged to Jackson High, which scored the next four touchdowns.

The Vikings beat the Mounties 38-20 Friday night at Withington Stadium.

With the win, Jackson High improves to 5-3, keeping their playoff hopes alive.

The Mounties slip to 2-6.

Northwest's season finale will be at home next week against Western.

It could be a huge game for the Panthers. Western needs one more win to qualify for the playoffs and they were losing badly to Ida.

The Mounties could play spoiler next week.
