49-point win is largest ever in 21 meetings between Northwest and Mason

Mason's 49-0 victory tonight over Northwest is the largest win for either school in their 21-game series.

It was only the second shutout ever in the series. In 2000, Mason beat Northwest, 21-0.

The two schools first played each other in 1975. Northwest won that game, 15-14.

The year 2000 was also the last time the Mounties were shutout two weeks in a row. It happened twice that season, in which Northwest finished 1-8.

Last week, Lansing Sexton beat the Mounties, 45-0.
