In their two losses this year, the Mounties have given up 42 and 36 points.
In their four victories, they've held their opponents to an average of 15 points.
Last year, the Jackson Vikings scored 55 points to Northwest's 35.
I'd say it's safe to say that the Mounties cannot afford to give up 30 points to Jackson High on Friday. Not when they've averaging just four and a half passing attempts per game.
Massey Ratings is predicting Jackson High will win, 34-25.
I'll make my first prediction so far on this blog:
Jackson Northwest Mounties 27, Jackson Vikings 22.
Anyone else care to chime in?

Mick-
Tough loss for the Mounties! So close. Do you think they can win out and finally get to the playoffs?-
Scott R.
Hey Scott,
I sure hope so but it'll be tough. The Mounties are on the road this week against St. Johns, which is 5-2. Both teams have beaten Owosso and lost handily to Mason. However, St. Johns beat Lansing Sexton 17-14 while the Mounties lost to Sexton 36-15 -- although I think the game was closer than the final score.
So, I think they're probably closely matched, although the edge goes to St. Johns -- they're at home and the Mounties are coming off a huge emotional game.
